Who you are travelling with

A small, family-run outfit at the top end of Botswana

We are Toff and Kiddy Hill. Two people, one company, guiding out of Kasane since 1994. You plan the safari with us directly, and one of us is out there with you when you travel.

Kasane sits where Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe meet, with state forestry land wrapped around it, so wildlife country starts more or less at the edge of town. We live out here in Chobe District, not in a city office, and that is the whole difference.

Tell us your dates, your budget and what you want to see, and we build the trip around that.

Our safaris

Six starting points, all of them tailor-made

Use these itineraries as a frame. We stretch them, shorten them, swap camping for lodges and add fly-in legs to suit the group travelling.

How we travel

Proper bush safaris, without the sales pitch

  • Camping done properly

Spacious dome tents, a real mattress, bed linen and a pillow, and nothing between you and the night sounds. At Xakanaxa the spotted hyena often pass close to camp after dark.

  • Lodges, or a bit of both

If camping is not for you, we use lodges across the wildlife regions. Many guests mix the two: canvas in the parks, a swimming pool in between.

  • A crew, not a driver

An owner, an experienced professional guide and our own camp staff. Thorough and factual about animals, birds and bush, and good company around a fire.

  • Hands-on or hands-off

Pitch in with camp chores if that is your idea of a holiday, or leave it entirely to the camp crew. Both are completely normal here.

  • Fly-in options

Short on time? We build in charter flights so you spend your days in the parks instead of on the transfer roads.

  • An owner on every safari

You plan the trip with us directly, and then Toff or Kiddy travels with it. Not a handshake at the airport, the whole way.

Toff is not only a very experienced and excellent safari guide, but also a birdwatcher since childhood. There are some 500 different kinds of birds in Botswana and he knows them all. And what is more: he knows where to find them.
